The samples in this collection have been taken from plants with a woody trunk and cut in such a way as to show the three sections – radial, cross and lengthwise – and the anatomical structure which typifies each plant. The 86 photographs of most of the local trees and bushes have labels with the scientific name (in latin), the name of the botanical family, the name in local dialect and map showing the European distribution of the plant.
There are 90 specimens of coniferous and broad-leaved trees growing locally which can then be seen and identified outside in the locality.
